DGSD participates in DuPage County River Sweep

On Saturday, May 21 several District employees joined a group from First United Methodist Church, Downers Grove for the annual DuPage County River Sweep. Volunteers picked up about 15 garbage bags full of debris along St. Joseph Creek behind our wastewater treatment plant.

The DuPage County River Sweep is an annual cleanup event organized by the Conservation Foundation that encourages citizens to improve local waterways by removing debris and litter from a section of stream or pond. Thanks to the Conservation Foundation for hosting a great event!
