Update: District Offices Closed through May 31; Essential Services Continue
Please note the District will continue to keep the office closed to the public through May 31 in accordance with the Illinois Governor’s extended Stay-at-Home Order. The District will also not be assessing any penalties or late fees this month for accounts that are not paid on time.
In response to the Illinois Governor’s Stay-at-Home Order due to the Coronavirus outbreak, please take note of the District’s response and changes we’ve made to allow us to continue providing sanitary sewer and wastewater treatment services to our customers while also safeguarding our employees’ health.
The District’s administrative office at 2710 Curtiss Street, Downers Grove will remain closed to the public through May 31, 2020. Customers can still call the office during reduced hours from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. We have a live answering service to receive calls at all other times and we will do our best to respond to all inquiries in a timely manner.
Customers are encouraged to drop off payments in District dropboxes conveniently located across our service area. Customers can also pay through our online billing portal or our FREE checking account EasyPay Program. View all our payment options here, https://www.dgsd.org/your-account/payment-options/. Please note, there will be no penalties or late fees for all payments due on April 15.
We will continue to have technicians on-call for all sewer backups. If you are a customer experiencing a backup, please call us at any time at (630) 969-0664 to report the incident. If a technician needs to visit your house, please let us know ahead of time if anyone is sick at your home so we can make the appropriate health and safety accommodations.
The District is also still accepting permit applications. Applications can be submitted online at https://www.dgsd.org/sewer-construction/sewer-permits/. Payments for permits can be made via mail or dropboxes.
We appreciate your support and patience through these temporary changes as we keep our employees’ and customers’ health and safety a top priority.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at (630) 969-0664 or online through https://www.dgsd.org/contact-us/.
