District performs Walnut Ave. sewer lining rehabilitation project

Beginning on Monday, Oct. 30, the District will start rehabilitation of approximately 3,500 feet of mainline sanitary sewer and the rehabilitation of 22 manholes located in the road and parkways of Walnut Avenue in Downers Grove. The work will take place from the south side of the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Maple Avenue and go north to the entrance to the District’s wastewater treatment plant located north of Hitchcock Avenue.
This work will be done by Benchmark Construction, under contract with the Downers Grove Sanitary District. Signs will be posted adjacent to the work area prior to beginning the work.
