Job Opening – Sewer System Engineering Technician

The Downers Grove Sanitary District is seeking applicants for the position of full-time Sewer System Engineering Technician.

The Sewer System Engineering Technician is responsible for maintenance of programs relating to the District’s comprehensive infiltration and inflow removal and sewer system rehabilitation policy and providing technical assistance to the operation and maintenance of the sanitary sewer system, and reports directly to the Sewer System Maintenance Supervisor.

The pay range for this position is $25.66 – $38.50 per hour. Actual salary will be based on applicant’s applicable education and work experience.

Please note that Sewer System Engineering Technician must reside within a 30-minute travel time from the District’s Wastewater Treatment Center at 5003 Walnut Ave., Downers Grove, Illinois, and must possess an Illinois Driver’s License in good standing. A successful candidate must comply with these requirements within six months of employment.
