The Building Sanitary Service Repair Assistance Program (BSSRAP) requires the property owner to maintain their sanitary service on an annual basis if there is a condition in the pipe that requires on-going maintenance (i.e. tree root intrusion, grease, sags). Failure to perform annual maintenance can result in unwanted back-up and/or damage to property and sanitary pipes. Additional emergency repair charges may also be applied should the property owner seek District emergency repair assistance resulting from the property owner’s lack of annual maintenance.
